What is 5G???šŸ”„



It is the 5th generation of cellular networks and a new global wireless standard after 1G , 2G , 3G and 4G. When we talk about all the generations of cellular network , every single of them has always been better in terms of speed and reliability.

The upcoming 5G will provide higher Multi - GBPS speed with ultra low latency and more reliability. It will provide more uniformed and efficient experience to its users. 5G is designed to provide 20 GBPS peak data speed.






How will it affect the nation economy?šŸ”„



5G is not only gonna serve us with better performance but it will also affect the global economy in a very efficient way. It is predicted that there will be more than 1.7 billion people served by 5G by 2025. More users will require for development in information technology and it will lead to many job vacancies for people of nation.

The study also revealed that the 5G value chain can only provide around 22 million jobs.





5G in India?šŸ”„



5G will rollout out in India to some extent for specific uses by the end of 2021 or in the beginning of 2022 , as informed by the standing community of information technology.






Will 4G stop working after arrival of 5G in India?šŸ”„


Not really, 4G network will be used in India for at least another 5 - 6 years as there are around 820 million users of 4G in India and not everyone can switch to 5G and even if they could , there would be majority people who will not be able to afford it.

Some demerits of 5G:

5G is gonna provide us with higher speed and more enhanced connectivity, but for providing this it will require capital which simply means that the cost of 5G is predicted high for providing good performance,

High cost of cellular network will also lead to low rural access. It may also drain the battery faster in the device.

Yes it is used in more than 60 countries in the globe! People are adapting it more faster than 4G rollout.

Airtel 5G is capable of delivering 10x speeds, 10x latency and 100x concurrency when compared to existing technologies. Specifically, in Hyderabad, users were able to download a full length movie in a matter of seconds on a 5G phone. 

Airtel will collaborate with Qualcomm for 5G in India.





Do i need a new phone for 5G?šŸ”„


Yes of course , there are 5G compatible smartphones available in the market right now. For example, smartphones powered by the Snapdragon 5G mobile platforms are 5G compatible.
